We wanted to begin this post by thanking all of out great friends in Plantation Florida, Barehandspa has been a great success since we opened back in April of 2016, and all thanks to all the good people that supports our efforts to keep helping the community and bringing wellness to their lives.
As part of our Skin Care TIP Series we want to bring awareness about an interesting topic; the health of your skin, we wanted to bring you few tips on what are the benefits of a healthy exfoliation along with the best way to take care of your skin.
What do we mean about exfoliate your skin at least twice a week?
Well, we live in the beautiful South Florida and with that being said, we are not the Sunshine State for no reason. The exposure to the sun and the environment in general can de-hydrate our skin, and also produce dead cells that can clog our pores and make our skin look bad.
It is very important to keep our skin moisturized and always use sun screen at all times possible, but if you don't exfoliate your skin regularly your skin won't be as healthy as it could possibly be.
As our age progresses the regeneration of our cells is not as effective as it was before (...bummer) - So we need a special aid to help promote our skin to re-generate new cells. In order to have a beautiful and fresh skin. Exfolliating regularly your skin helps remove dead cells and promotes a healthy skin.
This post looks to keep you informed on some of the best ways to keep your skin healthy.
I get it now, so what is the best way to exfoliate my skin?
Glad you ask (....if you did), there are currently many ways to treat your skin and promote freshness and healthiness, but is very important to understand that depending on the complexion of your skin you may want to look carefully what is the best way to do it, also a good idea is to visit your skin care professional and ask him/her based on your skin what is the best way.
Manual Exfoliation (the old school method):
There are currently many ways of exfoliating your skin manually; you can choose to use exfoliating gloves for your shower time and use your shower gel to gently use over the part of your body that want to exfoliate, in this case your face is the one is most exposed to the environment and will thank you later by looking wonderful.
Natural Exfoliation Products
By always using natural products for the care of your skin, always use a trusted brand and something that you can use in a regular basis at home. I recommend The Gentle Skin Scrub from Wilma Shumann, can be used to invigorate and refresh your skin. Its deep cleansing action removes the impurities and dead skin cells to boost circulation.
Professionally performed Exfoliation
We recommend that you visit your local Skin Care professional for an evaluation, they will look at your skin complexion and characteristics, and will recommend the best exfolliation treatment. A well trained Skin Care professional can recommend a treatment tailored for your skin at home and at their professional suite. Treatments can include chemical peelings or Microdermabrasion, depending on your skin complexion and skin concern. Always look for a Professional and Licensed Skin Care esthetician, you will be glad you did.
If you are in the Plantation Florida area we would love to have you come in, and recommend the best treatment for you, most of our Facial Treatments include exfoliation based on your skin complexion and the one we think fits you best.
We created a special Page to list our NEW Signature Facials, including In home treatments and the products that we use, giving you with complete transparency on all our treatments.
Thank you for reading and supporting us, we are here to make the difference.
